TRANSACTION
The Hex Appeal TRANSaction fund is 100% nonprofit project dedicated to help our struggling transgender and nonbinary brothers, sisters, and siblings see their true selves in the mirror and know they are loved and supported by their community.
Because of your kindness and community support, we are able to provide discounted, and even free haircuts to transgender folk who do not have the means to support themselves for vital gender-affirming care, like a trustworthly haircut.
HOW IT WORKS
It takes a village.
We are able to make this happen through your support. THANK YOU! Your generosity goes directly to a gender-affirming haircut, helping someone in need along the long road to transitioning. 100% of all donations go directly to covering the cost of a haircut for a trans sibling. You can make a donation by informing Kelsey at the shop or by donating directly to the Hex Appeal TRANSaction Venmo account.
We’ll match your donation.
From the start, this project has been about using our platform and resources to support transgender folk in our community. We are proud to match every donation at a 1:1 ratio, ensuring that we are able to provide haircare for as many applicants as possible.
Affordable Haircuts.
The funds will be used to reduce the price of services for clients in need, based on a sliding scale or even waiving payment altogether. pricing is determined on a case-by-case basis. Our vision is to be able to provide gender-affirming haircuts 100% for free. We will continue to put our all into this journey until we have the funds to reach that dream.
It’s Not All About the Money.
We’re always looking for partners to collaborate on events, providing resources, and spreading the word. TRANSaction is still a little baby; we’re just now serving our first clients! However, that means that we can only ask for your continued support in spreading the word, and keeping tabs on us for future events!
